The Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) is the premier organization for facilities engineers and operations professionals. We provide our members with the resources they need to achieve career success by uniting a large community of like-minded professionals who desire to learn and share the most efficient methods for operating and maintaining complex building and facility systems. And we help our members grow professionally through nationally accredited certification programs, local & national networking, continuing education events, primary and secondary level student activities & scholarship programs, and other resources for career advancement. This terrific event will focus on building optimization using high efficiency condensing boilers. Hear eye opening case studies that demonstrate how building owners reduced total facility heating costs by 40-50%. Attendees will learn strategic use of high efficiency condensing units and utilization of lower building water supply temperatures. Resident boiler expert Joe Mozieka with Mulcahy will provide a technical presentation with discussion that will assist facility engineers in maximizing boiler usage in their buildings. Attendees will also receive a tour of Mulcahy's extensive parts facility. Networking and cocktail hour begin at 5:00pm with dinner, presentation, and tour to follow. 2017 Board Member Candidate
We are currently looking for a facility professional to join the AFE Twin Cities Board Chapter 13 of Directors. The candidate should be an active AFE Twin Cities Chapter 13 member or a local vendor member with operations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. First year board members fulfill the role of Secretary with annual movement through each of the board positions and finishing their term in five years. Participation is voluntary and rewarding. Board members play a vital role in determining the monthly activities and overall direction of the chapter. Board meetings are held once per month at a convenient time and location. AFE membership is required. A summary description of all board member duties can be found under the About Us tab. Interested candidates should contact Ann Petrick at the information below.

Lucky 13 Golf Tournament Recap
Thank you to the 110 golfers who joined us at Oak Glen Golf course on July 18, 2016 for the 28th AFE Lucky 13 Golf Tournament. We hope you enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, visiting with facility friends, and a fine lunch and dinner provided by Oak Glen. Congratulations to all of our competition and door prize winners and a huge thanks to everyone who donated gifts for the event. Thank you, thank you to each of our 17 Tee Box Sponsors. A special thanks goes out to Bill Pierro with Kline-Johnson & Associates for raising $190 with his “Gambler Game” on hole #16. We are incredibly grateful for your hard work, support, and contribution of time and resources that continue to make this event such a great success. With everyone’s involvement, approximately $5800 was raised for Facility Engineering Scholarships! We look forward to seeing you at one of our fall facility events and at the 29th AFE Lucky 13 Golf Tournament on July 17, 2017.
